1. Coro
Was Gott tut, das ist wohlgetan, es bleibt gerecht sein Wille; wie er fängt meine Sachen an, will ich ihm halten stille. Er ist mein Gott, der in der Not mich wohl weiß zu erhalten; drum laß ich ihn nur walten.	Whatever God does, is rightly done, his will remains ever righteous. however he deals with my affairs, I wait on him in silence. He is my God, who in any need knows well how to preserve me; thus I merely let him govern.
2. Aria (Duetto) Alto Tenor
Was Gott tut, das ist wohlgetan, er wird mich nicht betrügen; er führet mich auf rechter Bahn, so laß ich mich begnügen an seiner Huld und hab Geduld, er wird mein Unglück wenden, es steht in seinen Händen.	Whatever God does, is rightly done, he would not ever deceive me; he leads me upon the true path, so let me content myself in his grace and be patient, he will turn my misfortune, it lies in his hands.
3. Aria Soprano
Was Gott tut, das ist wohlgetan, er wird mich wohl bedenken; er, als mein Arzt und Wundermann, wird mir nicht Gift einschenken vor Arzenei. Gott ist getreu, drum will ich auf ihn bauen und seiner Gnade trauen.	Whatever God does, is rightly done, he will provide me well; he, as my physician and miracle worker, will pour for me no poison as medicine. God is faithful, thus I build upon him and trust in his mercy.
4. Aria Bass
Was Gott tut, das ist wohlgetan, er ist mein Licht, mein Leben, der mir nichts Böses gönnen kann, ich will mich ihm ergeben in Freud und Leid! Es kommt die Zeit, da öffentlich erscheinet, wie treulich er es meinet.	Whatever God does, is rightly done, he is my light, my life, who can begrudge me no evil, I will yield unto him in joy and sorrow! The time is coming, openly revealed there, how faithful are his intentions.
5. Aria Alto
Was Gott tut, das ist wohlgetan, muß ich den Kelch gleich schmecken, der bitter ist nach meinem Wahn, laß ich mich doch nicht schrecken, weil doch zuletzt ich werd ergötzt mit süßem Trost im Herzen; da weichen alle Schmerzen.	Whatever God does, is rightly done, if I must now taste of this cup, that is made bitter by my delusion, let me still fear not, for yet in the end I shall take delight with sweet comfort in my heart; there all pains diminishing.
6. Coro
Was Gott tut, das ist wohlgetan, dabei will ich verbleiben. Es mag mich auf die rauhe Bahn Not, Tod und Elend treiben, so wird Gott mich ganz väterlich in seinen Armen halten; drum laß ich ihn nur walten.	Whatever God does, is rightly done, by this I shall remain. I may be upon the harsh road driven by distress, death and misery, but God will utterly, as a father, enfold me in his arms; thus I merely let him govern.
